Robot-assisted system for locomotor therapy in reduced gravity KRISAF
The System is the only robot-assisted devices, that enables trunk muscles training involvement in conjunction with lower limb rehabilitation, consequently providing the patient with whole body balanced muscular load.
Being in a state of almost indifferent equilibrium, the patient participates in the construction of movement together with the system of electric drives.
The applied method conduces to reduction of pneumonia and urinary tract infections occurrence probability.
The restoration of the cortical component of patient’s motor control is facilitated by reducing competitive influence of various motor centers on the lower motor neuron.
Providing conditions of spine axial unload, the complex has significantly fewer contraindications than the most commonly used robotic systems, and significantly expands the scope.
When the patient is placed in the terms of reduced gravity, created by Krisaf all impulses from the soles, muscles, ligaments that signal the need to fight gravity are removed spasticity is reduced activity of tonic reflexes is decreased.
Key features of the game:
- 25 different tasks; Spearfishing;
- Underwater photography;
- Search for treasures;
- Free play mode;
- Competition mode.
The game control is performed by means of a virtual environment control sensor, that is also intended for directional and speed control.
The game id also mignht be controled simultaneously by means of the keyboard, which makes it possible to correct the trajectory of movement.
The Krisaf is designed for rehabilitation of patients with:
- traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries,
- neurological impairments resulting from stroke,
- infantile cerebral palsy.
The system software allows you to synchronize up to 5 TESSC channels with movements in the system.
Spinal cord injuries patients rehabilitation studies with application of Krisaf system in conjunction with TESSC delivered outstanding results:
- increase of limbs muscle strength,
- the appearance of a limbs motor reaction,
- improving stability of maintaining an upright position,
- improvement of pain and tactile sensitivity, an increase of their areas.
- Limbs temperature sensitivity improvement,
- Sensory function scores increase (ASIA scale),
- Motor function scores increase (ASIA scale),
- Reduced spasticity,
- Bladder and bowel function control increase.
Proven System performance:
- reduction of the energy cost of walking,
- improvement of gait walking,
- increased stability in an upright position,
- intramuscular coordination improvement due to improvement of corticospinal support of lower limbs muscles.
The child has the opportunity to do-activity common to his same-age healthier peers: explore the underwater world, complete various tasks, take photos and search for treasures, and also compete in mini-games with dolphins, manta rays and turtles.
